"My heart is good; therefore,
the evil actions that I do make me a sinner."
OR
"My heart is evil; therefore,
the evil actions that I do are
because I am a sinner."
See: Jeremiah 17:9 & Mark 7:23

We have become a society of fearful, distrustful people. I think it reflects our hearts and minds - both of which are poisoned by sin. There is nothing redeeming about us other than the Lord Jesus Christ.
I look inside and see evil when I want to do good. I think ill of my fellow man unless he is very nice and doesn't get in my way.
In my heart is truly no good, only selfish, mean-spirited ME. So.... no, there is not a pure heart in the whole of humanity excepting our Lord.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all like an unclean thing And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.
Man is conceived in sin, a child of wrath, without hope, a lawbreaker. But God sent his son to live the perfect life, die in our place, took the penalty and wrath for our sins. He died and rose again. God imputes Christ's perfect righteousness to the believer.
