The Community Blessing Of The Lord's Supper

I came across this in my notebook.  Unfortunately I didn't write down the source.  My apologies.  Regardless, it is a real blessing to think about how we all partake and share the Lord's Supper together as the body of Christ.  Enjoy.

"The significance or effect of the sacrament of communion is fellowship with all the saints... 

This fellowship consists in this, that all the spiritual possessions of Christ and shared with and become the common property of him who receives the sacrament... It is like a city where every citizen shares with all the others the city's name, honor, freedom, trade, customs, usages, help, support, protection, and the like. 

The blessing of this sacrament is fellowship and love, by which we are strengthened against the devil and all evil."
