Did You Know That The Altar Call Is A Modern Invention?

Did you know that the altar call is a relatively modern invention?  It is not even 200 years old.  This makes it relatively new considering that the New Testament church is around 2000 years old. Furthermore, the altar call does not have large historical roots in the New Testament church. Altar calls first came about underneath a pastor from the 1800’s named Charles Finney.
