The Sound Of Irony?

Irony: (noun) a state of affairs that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects.

We are told by some individuals - with confidence - that life began 3.6 billion years ago when amino acids eventually became the proteins necessary to create single cells - single cells that became plants and animals. Indeed, we are told that the beginning of life is not based upon varying religious beliefs or philosophical opinions, but a matter of scientific consensus.

We are also told by many of these same individuals - with confidence - that there is no scientific consensus as to when life begins in a mother's womb. Indeed, we are told that the beginning of life in the womb is based upon religious beliefs and philosophical opinions, which may vary.
